Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives
I've been on this board for a few years, but no one, other than Matty K and one or two others, has ever seen my ride. The body work I have done has never been done to my knowledge by anyone else, so if I'm wrong, someone let me know. It was done this past May. I just really hated the reflector, so i decided to just get rid of it. I told Matt I was going to not let anyone else see the car before the show on the 9th, but since I posted pics to sell the rims, people are going to see it anyway...so without further adieu...

More pics, including the audio system, which is the jewel of my car at this point, when I'm not feeling lazy. Opinions welcome.
Interesting,
Can we get a shot of the car from the back?
Didn't think I had one..

pretty smooth looking...can you tell us everything you have done?

I kind of like that, It reminds me more of the mondeo.
I like it, but it seems as though its missing a little bit on the trunk. Maybe that same type of thing, but with a different inner tail light shape...
It looks good. Maybe ill see it in person sometime for a LA or SD meet.
Nice. You've done everything I want to do to my front end except put the Mirko splitter (coming soon to a ride near me!). I don't think anyone else will ever have that trunk. Good job, being original is cool... Who did your lights?
looks good. Wanna sell me your wheels? Ive got the scoundrels and one of mine is bent.
As I've told you before, your car is amazing! It looks really solid in person, too.... And we've got more stuff coming, mwahahaha.....
Sick! I love the view from the back
Very nice!
Your car looks fantastic! Great work!
That is one cleanly modded car. Very slick & smooth! I like it, a LOT!

Have you thought about a lip spoiler? Perhaps some ST200s would really wake it up...
ST200 wheels? Whats wrong with the scoundrels?
I like it!
I think Sami was planning some different wheels, anyhow... if he goes with what he was talking about, the car is gonna look nutz. Peanuts, even.
Sick as hell. You know what would look cool if you molded those L.E.D line brake lights that you see on caddys where the rear reflector use to be.

Nice ride!
Neat idea, not my cup of tea. Needs more GO mods.
I personally would have left the license plate in the trunk lid. The rear bumper on the SVT is too hot to mess with. Other than that, the car looks great.

Mark
I also agree that the license plate should have stayed on the trunklid. Definitely unique though.
The car looks great . Ya got some really dark tint there !I was planning to do pretty much the same thing to the trunklid (but never got 'round to it ) . I was gonna french-in the license plate in the stock spot though . Maybe some day I'll do it - maybe not .

Nice work .
Thanks for all the input everyone. I appreciate all the compliments and suggestions, and I also understand that not everyone was going to like this particular style. The reason I moved the plate down, personally, was because I wanted to shave the whole trunk and make it look as clean as possible. I love the rear bumper, like some of you were saying, but I felt I could place the plate in there without ruining the beauty of it. Anyway to answer a few questions...

the lights were done by ContourSVT98, who as far as I know is no longer on the board. One of the headlights is still perfect, but the other is leaking a little and I'm going to have to try and fix it myself. I need to open it up and clean it and then reseal it.

someone asked for a mod list...here you go:

Cougar Shift Knob
White HVAC overlays

Kenwood eXcelon x979 head unit

XM Radio
iPod Hookup
1 Farad Capacitor

I believe Tourige mentioned the lack of power mods. I'm in the process of adding power right now, and by the show on 4/9, the car will have MSDS headers, a Magnaflow resonator, an optimized Throttle Body, and an optimized Y-Pipe. More will come as the funds do, as I eventually plan on swapping in a 3.0.

Matt is right, I'm switching the wheels out and am ordering new rims tomorrow. I'll tell you what those are when you see the pics. So Jim, if you're serious about wanting my rims, shoot me a PM. I have an ad up in the classifieds right now.

Thanks again for the input guys. I'll have the audio pics up in the next few days.
i like it!
could you please get some more pics of the rear with better lighting so we can get a better idea of how it looks?

just out of curiosity, why would you shave the antenna but leave the body seams?
