id say go with the tips in the first picture provided, the angle would flow with the lines of the rear bumper, overall adding a really nice touch. Oh, and get a 3.5 inch tip, 4 inches is just plain ginormious
15 degree cut looks better IMHO
I dont have them on my tour. But on my Stang I have the angle cut. I think it looks the best.
i would say, dont go with tips. i would find a universal muffler with the 3 1/2 inch angle cut tips, and not double walled. i would go with the single wall. but that is just my opiion. thats what i have, and i think that it looks really good. especially if you have an svt, cause it fits really good into the muffler cutouts in the bumper. sorry i dont have any pics of it.
Dont mind the dirt
Straight cut, though connected to magnaflow race mufflers.
These are not on a SVT but what I had put on my 96 SE.
Oh yeah, they are 3" rolled tip, angle cut.
Taken at SZ05- and no, theyre not all crooked. Must be the angle or something :shrugs:
4" round, rolled, angled Magnaflow tips.
So far the best one is Marks.
Here's a pic. TruBendz 3" double-walled tips. A little small but they look great and add to the stealth of the SVT.
Old set-up - BOSAL Like NATE S pics above. Just a different angle
I forgot about the trappless rotated angle cut experiment...
The idea was to follow the contour of the valance as it begins to wrap forwards - to keep the plane of the tip opening on the same plane as the valance opening. It looked good, just missed the trapps too much and switched back after a few months.
Lots of nice photos ! But not what I thought I was going to be seeing... I guess I misread the title!? TIPS...
HA HA HA Just kidding !
Looking good !
Google the name for a pic of it, the exhaust comes through vent like discs. You can add or subtract discs for loudness. It sounds weird, but when you see a pic it will make sense.
B/C no one seems to get it:

read a couple posts up, there is a link to the site.
Just wondering, but how do you install new tips? are they just bolt on's? or do you need a U clamp or what?
yea, it woulda been nice if everyone posted what there tips actually were instead of just putting up pics.
Angled cut, they have about the same angle as the lower balance on the bumper
hey owen, how much did those tips cost you (Magnaflow site says like 65 bucks i think) and just wondering how you installed them.
how do you install tips on an exhaust? do you weld them in or what?
they make bolt on ones and weld on ones
Static - Got any better shots ? I'd love to catch a closer look at 'em . Who makes the tips ? What exhaust ya running ?
Great post Allen! I'm looking at doing an exhaust upgrade myself and this thread has been very helpful.
sorry man I have some others about as crappy as that. I sold the car or I would get you some better ones. It was the Yo Dude (aka trubendz) exhaust with borla res and magnaflow mufflers. SOUNDS SWEET. When I placed the order it let me pick the tips I wanted and those are what I picked
Here are my tips. They are 4" double walled stainless with straight cut ends welded onto magnaflows.
anyone with Bosal used any of the other tips? Also, did any of you solve you exhaust sag problem?
The Trubends Magnaflow setup sits directly adjacent to the tow hooks, but they do not rub or hit them at all.
you have enough room for the 14" magnaflow oval mufflers. That's what I run. They are only a bit longer than the stockers.
Man, I wish I had some good pics of my tips, I think I've got the only set of dual, dual tips I've seen.
Heh, I wish I could, but no digital camera sucks. Maybe I'll post the best pic I have tomorrow, we'll see.
Well, this is the best pic I could find, not really that great. Tips are from TruBendz, and I ended up cutting off those tie down things under the car. Future plans should end up with these tucked up into the cover like the SVT, but that comes when I can do a custom rear bumper.
