It's just two days later and look what I got:

Just letting you know that your SVT Contour ID tags went in today's mail so they're now in the hands of the postal gods. To avoid damage your tags have been packaged in a bubble-wrap envelope which is classified as "oversize" mail. As a result, they get sorted manually (i.e. slower) and not by machine - the automatic sorting machines have a habit of damaging the tags. Please let me know when you get them, thanks.

why is that a problem? mine from the first group buy arrived in perfect shape. he even put then in between 2 thin pieces of wood to prevent it from flexing or being bent hard. no complaints at all.

Got mine today!! Just another example of CEG'ers helping CEG'ers. These tags are another one of the little things that make a real difference (at least to us). High quality and finish. They were even packaged right to prevent damage. Thanks to Pete and Gary. Great GB!

Where in the engine bay do you suggest placing these? Is heat a problem with the adhesive on the plaque?

To me, the ideal spot, as you are looking at the engine is on the right side on the top of the header. It's the right size, it's flat, and it's easy to see. (On mine, there is a plaque with some numbers on it riveted right next to the spot.) Only problem is the rubber gasket on the hood would hit it along the top. No problem now, but it will eventually rub the paint off of the plaque. Any ideas on how to protect the plaque or a better spot?

HI, I ended up mounting mine on the right center metal housing above the radiator. ON the left center side is the factory 'fan warning' sticker.

Has anyone found a good place to put the on the interior? I knew the perfect place when I had my SVT center console, now that I have the pre-98 I dunno where to put it?

Glad you guys are liking them - I'll let Gary know.

As for the interior, I placed mine on the moonroof console/cover. It's nice up there, but hardly anyone sees it.
