Is the fiberglass lighter than the stock metal ones? Are the fenders rolled since some of us might have rubbing issues? Are those scoops functional or just cosmetic?

The fenders are actually thicker than the metal fenders. The vents can serve whatever purpose you want provided you cut holes into your firewall!(but whose gonna do that!), or take out the lining under the wheel well to ventilate the heat produced from your disk brakes and wheels. Other than that i think theyre all about looks!
I noticed the last photo is of a cougar.
Did you try posting this over on NECO to see if any Cougar owners are interested?

me too, i like the idea but i'm skeptical because we dont have nearly as much space between the wheel well and the door edge as civics and cougars do....
How many people do you need to get this off the ground and also will they be mass producing them like can we order after this group buy is done?? And also what are we looking at for shipping cost and will they come primed??

well i would say we're gonna need about 10 people for this round and after that i believe they can order after we get these off the ground.
when we make the mold i can get the fender to come out a little bit more than our stock fender!
then in that case, I'm in. . .just wanted a little more flare, and to eliminate the stock fender setup where (i'm sure you all can relate) the metal can impale your tire if it hits it right. . .
So, how many have committed so far derok?

why only 98+,,,,oh well, my car will be nearly all custom i guess when it's done.
kermit, check out spoilers.com and look for some other vent style scoops... the same shop that will probably be fitting your carisma kit etc will most likely not charge as much to graft something in while they're at it as they would if you asked em to do it stand alone (no doubling up on supplies etc) hell you might be able to do it for $300

i will probably fit the kit myself.... when i get more money i'll get something done to the fenders,,, and probably a big cowl induction type carbon fiber hood.

I want them, but right now the body kit is most important. We need more time for the funds. Body Kit then CF Hood then Fenders thats over a g. I want all but my wallet can't handle it.

Would it be possible to get these fenders with the side marker holes? I really want them and they have them for the cougar. I think it would look awsome! What do you guys think?
cutting sidemarker holes in them wont be a problem at all, they're fiberglass, all you need is a drill before it gets painted, no worries about breakage or rust
I called Henshin auto at 1-904-338-0078 and they told me that the GB is still going to happen, just that there kinda busy and the project won't be started for a couple weeks. ????????

I want my fenders. I think that if more people call them and ask, they will see that we want these now. Please call Henshin and ask them hows it going on the Ford Contour X-1 fenders and make them feel the urgency! I'll call back about once a week or so and bug there person also.

I have seen several NECO members posting about how long it took to have the fenders finally delivered and being told that they were all shipped and then that it would be another week and then when they finally recievd product the packages were beat up pretty badly etc, etc.
I also have seen a few recent posts about quality concearns of the fenders being too thin. Check out NECO and read the posts for yourselves.
I have never seen these in person and have never dealt with this company first hand so I have no personal comment on the company or product. Just wanted to give a heads up to what I've seen posted at NECO

yeah, i just realized i have a 96 and they're for 98+, e-mailed the company, they said working on fenders for the contour, i asked specifically about pre98s, offered my car up for help in fitting, pictures, etc. they just said fenders are being worked on , nothing about different years.
OK, so wassup on this guys ... anyone have an update. I've ben patiently waiting for awhile now.

We have been trying to produce the fenders. However, the weather has been too cold for us to lay fiberglass. So everything got delay. We are looking at sometime in spring before we can start working on fiberglass. The temperature has to be at least in the 70s for us to have good quality parts out.

What is the price estimate for these? Some assclown banged on of my fenders up a bit so I might need a new one anyway.
Drajen these fenders only fit the 98+ Tours, and sorry I dont have any pics.
As for price they are 300 a pair so not bad at all I thought, when new ones are over that a piece I believe when I checked a while back.
