i think its because of a the missing drl but not sure. i remember reading if drl is missing the left one wont work on 98+

but nothing was said about pre 98's

I don't understand how not having DRL should affect your car.

well if your missing a drl, in 98+ the drivers side high beam dont work if you turn on high beams. im just wondering whether its the opposite side for the pre 98.

more than likely its the fuse...check the # and change it...i had a prob with my headlight and changed the fuse,,,now(crossing my fingers) ...it workds fine...
