Hi, Im really glad I found this place it has some great info! I've lurked for awhile but I'd be very gratful for your help with a little problem.

I have a 99 SVT and I have been getting MILs on and off for awhile now. The last codes that we pulled were P0135, PO141, PO155, P0156 and P0161. These codes relate to the HEGO sensor circuits I think. It turns out that the cause of these codes seems to be that the 20A HEGO Fuse keeps blowing. It keeps blowing every couple days. Has anyone ever heard of this and could anyone offer any advice.

Thanks!

Welcome . Yes, those codes do relate to the O2 sensors. You probably have a short on the O2 sensor circuit. Check the fuse holder for the O2 sensor Fuse 13 and wiring (Violet/Yellow) to it.

In addition, check for wiring at the PCM connector. PCM is located below the Power steering reservoir. For the 1998/1999 SVT, the wiring at the PCM connector are as follow:
P0161 Bank 2 Lower Sensor Heater - Pin 101 Black/Green wire
P0135 Bank 1 Upper Sensor Signal - Pin 60 White wire
P0141 Bank 1 Lower Sensor Signal - Pin 35 White/Blue wire
P0155 Bank 2 Upper Sensor Signal - Pin 87 White/Red wire
P0156 Bank 2 Lower Sensor Signal - Pin 61 White/Green wire

The Contours do have a problem with the wiring harness. You may want to check the wiring, especially under the Fuse Boxes (both the one next to the battery and the one in the passenger compartment under the dash, left of the steering wheel).

Thank-you for your help Tony. I will check the wiring as you suggest.
