Damn! Only about a month too late!
The rest of you without a DMD have no excuse now!! That is a great damn price!
hey wes, whats the back order time?
man for $50 bucks i'd put up with any back order time. too bad i have one already
Sounds good, can you give us any indication how long it will take...i'm in though.
i'll call and order in 2 weeks if you'll still have em
Estimate on backorder time?
Bolt included?

Check out www.contour.org under the mods/how-to section.
Also use the search function as this has been covered extensively as of late.
I'll be ordering one the first week of April (provided I have enough money left after sring break in Florida).
What a awesome deal!

sring break?? Seem like you already started... I'll be in once my tax returns come in.
Hi,
I'm definately interested. Do we pay upfront or when it gets shipped out?
You usually have to pay in advance before a Ford Dealer will order anything.
sorry guys i have no clue how long the backorder time is but i will let everyone know as soon as mine comes in. i ordered mine on the 10th of march. hopeing it will only be backordered for a couple weeks.. the bolt is not included nor the washer but they are only like 3$ more. remember the real price is 46.88 after tax but does not include shipping. i might even be able to get them for a gb at a cheaper price. i will have to talk to my manager but i would have to have around 20 orders that cannot be canceled. whenever you are ready to order call 313 846 5000 thats the number to fairlane. Bob, Al, Jimmy and big Mike are the counter guys they all know about the CEG discount. 1s7z.6213.ca is the ford part # for the DMD. give them that number and they can order it for you. any further questions pm me. online orders are avaliable at
fairlaneparts@fairlaneford.com any other parts that you may want feel free to order at the 25% CEG discount.
damn dood...nice....u work for a dealership???
is shipping gonna cost 40 bucks???
He works for Fairlane Ford in Dearborn, Michigan.
obviously ford has figured out the market and started to produce the buttload of em
so this should become a part we can get an almost any ford dealer
I might be interested, except that I know very little of cars, and I have no idea what a DMD does. :-/

Hey do they make a difference?? Is it worth the money to get one. I'm thinking about buying one this summer.
There is not a frenzy to buy them because they make no difference. If you plan to keep you car for a while. I would get one, especially at these lower prices.

Make no difference? Why would someone spend $50 on something that makes no difference. I am lost
Lol. I am saying there IS a frenzy to buy them. There is a reason for it.

LOL, I took it out of context
Just want to make sure the part number is correct:
You have 1S7Z.6213.CA
Bill Jenkins has 1S7Z.6312.CA
Which is correct?
1s7z.6312.ca is the correct number. i musta fat-fingered the 6213. there was a big number made but the reason they are backordered by the vender. they release a group at a time. they will release 25 next week next month they will release 50 in the middle of the month. again at the end of the month they plan to drop another 30. ford just likes to play games.
How long is this price good for?
I believe this will be the regular price.
Until Ford catches on that their price is too low and marks it up.
Don't forget the $29 Bullit fuel door. That price lasted all of 2-3 weeks before Ford realized they had a Gold mine on their hands and jacked up the price to $80-something.

I don't know. Do you have an hour? Probably half of what people buy makes no difference but they gotta buy it anyway 'cause it just might make a difference. Anyway, it just seemed like a funny question in light of the fact that this is a car enthusiast forum and there's lots of expendable income to be spent. By the way, I do think that the DMD makes a difference or Ford wouldn't put them on the Mondeo at the factory.
Karl
as suggested the price stands till ford says oh crap we can make a mint off this part.
I just tried to order one and the guy said you must be there to prepay, he said he couldn't take any payment over the phone, he ask if I knew somebody from that area that could pay and them me pay them
what the hell...lol
eric
cool i just called my local ford dealer and he said that 1S7Z.6312.CA is a good part number but he doesnt have one in stock,
duh. well are we sure this is the DMD?
I just bought my E0 this week and joined contour.org. Searching the forums has been very useful and full of good info. Thanks!
I just went down to Fairlane Ford today and bought a DMD, bolt, and washer for my first upgrade (buying a NAPA water pump on the way home tonight). Looks like other people replaced the front seal at the same time, is that recommended? My car has 85K, so seems like a good idea. Also I was only given a 15% discount, does anyone know if that has changed at Fairlane? Other people were quoting 25%. They actually had the DMD in stock.
If you're going to replace the main seal, you might as well do it when you have the pulley off. At 85000 miles, you're probably due.
