I figured I'd start a thread since I posted my experience in a different thread.

Jan of 2001. Driving 2 1/2hrs to install my BAT struts and Eibach springs. Got pulled over on the way doing excessive speeds. FHP was pissed gave me a hefty ticket and I was threatened to be taken to jail. Even though I was warned to drive carfeful oh well..... I had a radar but I turned it down the night before because the X reading was getting annoying and I forgot to turn it back up. Got the the meet and we got right on the springs and struts. Met alot of cool guys. Most if not all are no longer SVT owners but it was a great time. After the install we went to IHOP where my SVT surprised everyone even though it was stock. Then we went back and watched the fast and the furious. The next day we did another spring and strut job on a mystique and at around 7pm I was on my way back home!!!!

no real story...it was 03? drove from way upstate ny to KOP,PA(five+hours) to hang out and eat lunch..than drove all the way home:shrug:

This year, actually. Went to aircougar's house for a NECO/CEG meet on July 1st. Now I'm addicted. Is there such a thing as CEG cancer? lol
 
first real meet was our Meijer meet back in 04.

The one where hector's debuted his S/Ced zetec tour, and had his car broken into as well :troutslap:

that was a fun meet though.

I think mine was in 2000 sometime. It was during the fall/winter in Novi, Michigan at 12 Oaks Mall Parking lot. It was rainy and cold. I had just got my svt exhaust put on at the time. I didnt have the svt body kit yet. I think about 10 or so cars showed up. I think I'm the only person from that meet that still has a contour.
 
me and billdo(Pre98) went to a junkyard on the indian res last fall. spent a long time pulling some exhaust manifolds off of a tour just to be told that the junkyard wouldnt sell them to us because of the cats. ended up grabbing a couple parts for the mgb gt and forgetting to pay for them :troutslap: we were driving back to the park for a photoshoot when i realized. thats also when my cel came back :( fixed it the day of SZ07 at a rest stop on the way there
 
August 05. The one and only one I attended. I think we haven't had any since then. It was a maintenance meet at silversvts (Steve) place in Reston. There was also a barbecue. IIRC, 9 showed up. The two "teachers" were RTstabler51 and SVTPete (now GTO Pete). Others were Jeb Hoge, Viss1, Quick_SVT (Lamonte), platinum_drew and maybe Test-Dr. As far as I know, only silversvts and I still have our Contours. I think the rest have sold theirs. Not sure about Quick_SVT and Test-Dr.

Started with me asking for help, and CEGers offering to help if I drove down. Then Carlisle twice, and a fall meet at skunks house.
 
The first and only meet I've attended was in Charlottesville in 2000. We met in the parking lot outside of Crutchfield's. We ate at Pizza Hut and then rode around through the countryside. I don't think that anyone else who was there still posts on here.

NECEG Fall Meet 2002 (Applefest, Wachusett Mountain). It was frigid out.
We met at a Dunkin Donuts parking lot. I didn't realize that the typical meet spot was BEHIND the building, and imagine how awesome it was to round the corner and all of a sudden see a whole bunch of SVTs for the first time. :)

Most memorable include ElKy taking a dip at the mountain summit's cold spring, and Jonny V doing some crazy driving in MAZDASPEED's old apartment's parking garage. And Cloe!

Lots of cars, lots of great pics (all on my other computer :( ).
Many of the NECEGers there are still active too.

hmm, first meet was back in 2002, April i do believe. It was held by Gr8svt out towards teh cape in MA. The mystique turned 100k on the way to that meet. I remember elky bending his B&M shifter doing burnouts at the meeting location. let see I remember the following members that where there, Elky, Jsmith, mazadaspeed (SVT at the time with a taurus, and the ebrake slide at the beach), Baco with his GL, I think Corey rode down with Jsmith and there where a few others.
 
I honestly can't remember. It might have been our 2001 Fall Meet.
I'd have to get my old PC running to pull up the pics to be sure.

What's weird is I remember Cobra's first meet, and I wasn't even there for that one. :shrug:
 
my first in state meet was right around the same time in o3,brett(korfu)bill(pre98)andy(99mystiqueATX)brad(??mainly on FCO) ^^^^those guys were so young:laugh: i remember being in andy's parents garage until like 12am trying to get bills customcougar cai on and working right,along w/a 60mm tb from a taurus. along the way back to the thruway something happened to the tb and it would go past 30mph. luckly i had a spare svt tb that we quickly threw on...in the freezing rain at 12:30 in the morning..... in a bairly lit parking lot........to this day he still owes me:eek: :nonono: j/k bill.....but seriously:laugh:
 
First meet was Carlisle All-Ford nationals, three years ago. Met Luca, Buddy Palumbo, Brapple, Wa2Tuff, checkered, parkedcar, and many others. Was such a good time that I have gone back ever since (Even though Allen made fun of my wheels :laugh: )

My first CEG meet was at the Cranberry Quaker Steak and Lube over Thanksgiving break a few years ago. Guitarman, 1badSvt, Hector (who had a bad a$$ Cobra) met up.

Scott that was my first CEG meet too. That was a good time, well except for the snow. At least we had good food and beer.


BTW it was Homer who owned the Cobra. LOL. And he still has it, but he moved to Orlando.
 
My first meet...(seems to be a popular starter)

early summer 07 going to tony paco's with a majority of the egl. Had fun driving down. To much fun really from being an idiot, got in a huge fight about it on the forum later that week, but still dont remember anyone saying anything in person. Oh well whats done is done and idc anymore. Got their and sat with mrfatride, reebs and his girl. Ate, chatted and met lots of new people. Walked around and chatted after looking at everyones cars. people started filing out and i went to hang with a friend who lived in toledo.

For those who havent seen my car since then it looks alot better :cool:

thats my story :shrug:

like i dont have firefox to fix my spelling to make sure. it was sunday but we sat at the same table, its the strange looking pastense of sit. I just looked it up to make sure i was right :blackeye:
