Anybody have these? They seem to have exceptional reviews on tire rack, and they are reasonably priced..

Wondering if they live up to the hype. :ponder:

Honestly anything in the summer performance category will have some flex as compared the max performance summer tires.

Their a good tire, but they don't have a high treadware. Other than that they're a good tire. Installed quite a few of them while working at discount tire.

Tirerack says they are at a 300  Thats pretty reasonable to me.

Keep in mind that number doesnt mean it will always last longer than another tire. I had a set of 220 tires go 20,000 miles and a set of 360 tires last less than 10,000. Thats why the reviews are a great tool because you'll spot weird issues like that.

Well, i wanted something that hooks up a little bit better than the ZRI's, and the 'Hankook Ventus R-S2' Had too low of tread wear, Kumho Ecsta MX, is also kinda low, and the tread depth kinda worries me. and everything else had crappy ratings or is too expensive.

SO, i think ill be getting these. ;)

So is it going to be a strictly summer tire? I'm just not sure why you'd choose the S Drive over the BFG tire.

Yes all summer tire..I need good Rain/Dry traction. I'm not impressed with the reviews of the BFG

I wasnt impressed with the tests or the reviews of the S Drive when I was looking at tire options. The BFG looked like the clear winner in terms of performance and under $100 a tire ($72 from tires-easy.com).

Bought a set of the BFGoodrich g-forces only because the yokohama s-drives were not in stock. I wish i went with the yokohamas, not because the g-forces are bad, just that the yokohamas had better reviews. The BFGoodrich g-force tires arent bad tires. They definitely arent super awesome like many here are saying. The steering response from these tires is so delayed its hard to get used to. Its hard to weave through traffic, and it really really saps your confidence... Really.. It ----s.. Another negative about this tire is that you never know when its about to break loose. They are too quiet when pushed, so quiet I have never emitted a screech from them yet, just a quited wine once or twice.. These are very dangerous tires in my opinion. If you like to push the limits of your car from time to time, this is not the tire for you.. Get the yokohama s-drives. Other than that, everything is pretty good. Traction is great. I can take exits at 60 mph with aftermarket shocks and springs being the only suspension upgrades my car has. The wheels DO hop too much at 0 mph launches, but that just shows how much traction these babies have. I have yet to notice any tread wear on them yet, so thats a plus. These tires are way quieter than most i've worn. I have never pushed them in the rain, so i have no idea how they perform when wet. All in all these tires arent bad. They're great if your not a spirited driver, but if you like to go crazy every so often, get a tire with more cornering stability and quicker steering response.

That alone is enough.

One review where he says things I would consider positives and hasnt even driven on the other tire isnt enough for me. Personally I'm looking for a tire with great wear, low noise and great traction. I'm not sure what he was looking for but I'm not sure another tire in the summer performance group is gonna meet his high expectations.

just an update to this: The yokohama S-drives wear REALLY fast. i dont burn rubber or anything. but i'm on my 3rd front set in under 10kmiles. could it be my suspension? i dont think so. the tires wear evenly:shrug:
