wierd shhh sound

When I really get on the gas, usually when I shift from 1st to 2nd, or most noticeably, from 2nd to 3rd, there is a shhhhh sound that comes from the front right of the car. :shrug:

It sounds a bit like a turbo blow off/ whistle sound... anybody else have this problem or know what would cause it?

i was gonna say intake shh sound i get when i get on it. But you may have a exhaust leak where the primarys meet with the secondaries. (headers meet y pipe)

had that problem on my pgt long ago. and replaced the gasket and the shhh went away

I have a whistle sound from my intake. Anyone that rides in my car for the first time asks me about my "supercharged motor". :shrug::laugh:

It only happens for a second right after I let off the clutch when accelerating hard and shifting. I know its not the intake.

Check the hose that runs from the PCV valve to the EVAP cannister, it's a black corrugated looking hose. Check it closely, mine leaked, was kinda hard to see where it had cracked. Any CEL's?

Yeah, at part throttle, it "whistles while it works"

Mine does the same thing, but on mine it's the alternator pulley. Mines really loud during idle too though. It's kinda fun pretending it's turbo tho lol.

i highly doubt yours does the same thing. his only makes the noise right when you shift hard on a hard acceleration. thats what my silver svt did. a pulley noise sounds like a supercharger whine as you accelerate
