which 3L

i was wondering how would i find out which 3L i have. i was looking @ some parts & it is saying there is a few different types. the motor came out of an 03' taurus.
- 2 3.0L Flex Fuel OHV
- S 3.0L EFI DOHC
- U 3.0L EFI

I believe if you look at the head gasket, which should be visible on the driver side. Mine you can read the bar code on it. I don't know if this will help you in your quest. I hope so.

I would laugh my ass off if someone swapped a Vulcan 3L in a Contour.

what is the Vulcan 3L.

It's the OHV 3L V6 that came in the Taurus, Ranger, Tempo, and earlier Probe.
