Where is your remote oil filter mounted?

I am considering a remote oil filter for my ported 3L CSVT. For those of you who are running a remote oil filter, where did you mount the bracket for the filter, and how did you route the hoses? I imagine many have already relocated the battery to the trunk. Most kits come with 30" of hose, is that enough? Finally, how much extra oil do you have to run?

Pictures would be awesome if you have them!

hey scotSHO;

i did this recently.

After mounting my filter remotely (next to the windshield washer resevior) and having it scrape the floor as i reversed off the driveway, i relocated my sandwich block on the engine and the filter on the sandwich plate. My oil cooler rad is up front 'cos i don't have an intercooler.

Unless you have space issues, i would suggest thinking about having the filter as close to the engine as possible and not making the engine oil travel long distances thru extended hoses. I feel alot happier with oil to the cooler adding capacity and cooling to the system and the filter not being dependent on added pipework.

I'm sure some of the other guys with successful remote filter setups will advise you ... i'm just letting you know there is another combination if you want ..... G.

In front of the drivers wheel. I then relocated to the passanger side when I installed the turbo kit on the car.
