I just picked up a Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 already mounted in a box.Its rated for 350RMS,1400 watts max. What would be a good amp to power this? I looked at a couple of Kenwoods that seem nice (cea rated, built in fans) but they are 460 and 500 rms with 920 and 1000 watt maxes. Is that too much rms power? This is the first sub and amp Ive installed, till now all Ive had was a powered Bazooka tube.

You'll love that sub, I have the same one. I'm running an old MTX 280 bridged to it, so it's not seeing anywhere near it's max, and it still sounds sweet. I don't think you'd have too much power with the Kenwoods, and you could always turn down the gains to keep it safe.

Now if I had the $$$ for it, I'd pick up a class-D mono amp. They're made just for subs, nice clean power. However, the MTX was free, so that's what I use.
