What is the little silver box under...

Underneath the cosmetic plasic cover over the 6, 5 and 4 spark plugs is a silver box, about 4" x 4" x 1.5". It is to the right of the oil filler and directly in front of the SVT logo on the intake. It has a wire and what looks like a cable attached.

Just wondering what it is and what it does?

It has 2 ports for each cylinder...
