what are everyones opinions on these?

As good as they look in the pictures you will hate them in about a week. Installed one in my old truck years ago (back when they first started to sell these on ebay) and loved they way it looked. Then when the sun went down I relaized huger problem they have. The gauges had to be dimmed to a minimum or else they were blinding me. In the city you can have them on a littel but once you leave the city limits they need to be dimmed to a minimum. Anything bellow 3/4 brighness makes the gauges look bad, hard to read and dark. Ended up tossing mine out.

Evey now and then I run across a kid with one of these in his car at night and all I can see is the blue/green light blasting off his face as if it was a flashlight. I know it's unconfortable but they put up with it to look cool! lol

To give a idea, those indiglo night lights that you can buy for the house have only about 1/4 of the surface area. So imagine how bright 4X of it would be. OR if you have a watch with an indiglo face, light it up in a dark room and see what I mean. Those have even less surface area than the night lights.

I hot glued four 1-Watt LEDs inside the cluster over four of the five old bulb holes.

Need to add a 5th due to a slight dark spot, but otherwise it's brightly and evenly lit throughout. I just don't know if I wanna wire a 5th into the series circuit I already have (gonna make em dimmer) or make it's own and use a resistor.
