well I am taking a week off at the end of the month but I don't have anything planned. Looking to see if anyone has any good suggestions for things to do during the week. The weekends before and after plus friday are taken care of.

i know I have plenty to do around the house but I do want to get out for a day trip or something.

anyone have some suggestions?

Lol I just posted on your Facebook, but I'll copy it over here so other people can read it as well...

York Maine! Great little town with lots to do in the area. Zoo/amusement park, awesome beach (a hard sand beach AND a soft sand beach), lighthouse, Yummies (the greatest candy store EVER), etc...

neat idea, but Ill be by myself as far as I know. So Maine might be alittle far. but who knows ...

Day trip - Newport RI or Mystic CT
Two-day trip - someplace along the Maine oceanfront. I'm partial to Old Orchard Beach (though it's probably more family/friends oriented); have fond memories of Wells, York and Kennebunk too. All will be quieter now that school has started.

hmm Newport or Mystic .... well I'll be down in Mystic soon enough and Newport for the Car show in October ...

guess I'm looking for something alittle different to do, or less common.

Head down to the casino. Depending on the hotel rate at the time, it can be a fairly cheap local getaway. I don't care what anyone says, you don't need to go broke to enjoy a day or two there.

Stay at the MGM Grand if you do go! Amazing hotel. I hope to go back soon.

If you find yourself in central MA on a nice(ish) weeknight and have any interest in wakeboarding/waterskiing/tubing, let me know! We go most nice weeknights at a local lake for a few hours after work. The water is not as warm as it was a month ago but it's still swimmable.

I went wakeboarding/tubing with some friends at Hamilton Reservoir in Holland, MA quite a few times this summer. Loads of fun!

How about hang gliding in a gorilla suit
Am I the only one who found that really funny:confused::confused::confused:

Why not grab a moderately priced hotel room in Boston on Priceline? If there's a better place for a 2-3 day trip, I'm unaware. There's a Hardrock Cafe; The Fens (probably sold out, but you can try catching a good scalper:cool:); sports bars everywhere; historical tours left and right (even one on Segways); and Duck Tours. There's soo much beyond those things, I can't even list them. Is the little lady unable to go with?
