OK I have some pics. To make it easy, Its supposed to go GC Sleeve, GC Spring, Silver Top Hat, Urethane Bushing???, and Rear Strut Mount! My question is as simple as How does this Bushing fit onto the top of the strut!

I snapped some photos of How I have it with the items that I have thus far!

Notice it is laying on top of the larger portion of the Strut Rod due to it not being able to stretch around it!(I havent tried to force it)

Top View: Shows that the Bushing is not snug at all and actually covers the whole 'bolt screw' portion of the strut rod.

And a close up photo! (notice again, Bottom Portion is large strut rod, top part is the threaded portion of the strut rod.)

Thanks in advance!

I received my strut Mounts and am not sure what I should do about the bushing in the rear strut mount as it doesnt fit in the designated hole it is supposed to go into.

I am not sure If i should cut these suckers a bit until they fit or heat them? Please help as I want this stupid issue fixed and put on my car already!!!!

Help...

As you can see that is where it is supposed to be and it doesnt fit!

It goes in only about 1/4 of the whole urethane bushing

Now I tried putting the strut rod thru and hoping I would be able to tighten it and it would pop/keep it in place but that isnt the case as you can see from previous posts.

thanks again

i honestly didnt install them when i had my GC knockoffs. i never had any issues without them either

So the Rear strut mount covered in rubber-like material just sits on top of the Aluminum Top Hat.

I see what you mean! I tried that and everything looks normal and fits. But what is the point of the urethane bushing...

I dont want this to hurt me down the line and its just confusing me as its here. Its like ooo look a missing screw I hope my rim doesnt fall off....

thats my pic u linked. when u look at the link, i also have the gc install instructions. the rears shows the bushing on the top of the top hat in the instructions. does your bushing edge line up evenly with the rear aluminum hat? it should.

I know I saw that on your install.... But actually no the edge of the bushing doesnt match the edge of the aluminum hat.

I saw how yours looks in the picture and my bushing is a bit larger then yours. But I also figured that yours were installed and fell into place as they were used...

I was also informed that those bushings arent needed in the back anyways, But I dont want to take that chance, I am going to install them and have them pop into place when i lower the car on the rim.... then take them off and tighten and install again....

i wouldnt even worry about undoing the install to retighten everything. once the weight comes down, it should take care of it. u can always jack the car up after the install; the spring falls down when the weight is off (unlike progressive springs) to reach up and see how the bushing is falling into place with the upper strut mount.
