Did a scan on the CSVT earlier this week using OBD2Crazy, everything came back fine except for the throttle position sensor and a rich code in bank 2 (1151/0153). At idle it was reading 13% open, and WOT it was only showing 93% open. I'm wondering if this is the cause of a few of the nagging oddities that the car's had. The idle can be a little rough, there's this really annoying problem with the steering, and I that 1151/0153 code will come on for a few days and then go out for a few months at a time. I know common thinking with these codes is the O2 sensor, but I have to wonder if the engine is running too rich because the car thinks the throttle is open farther than it actually is at idle. The fact that the car stalls out when it's turning at low RPMs (See link above) also leads me to think that the PCM is acting on bad info from the TPS sensor, too.

Has anyone ever experienced any of this before?

P0153 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Slow Response (HO2S-21)
P1151 - Lack of HO2S-21 Switch, Sensor Indicates Lean
Yes, these are most likely from a bad O2... the slow response code is the giveaway.

A malfunctioning TP would not affect only one bank, so you can rule that out as a cause. However, for everyone's future reference, normal operating TP range is shown to be 0-96.6°, so your 93% would put you right where you should be, at 89.8°. Idle spec is .53-1.27v, or ~10-25°. Your 13% would put you at 12.5°, so you're good there as well.

Your PS issue sounds like a PSP switch problem, or even possibly an IAC issue, but I'll read your other thread for that.

Just curious, where are you getting your numbers for the specs? I'm glad someone thinks it's within it's normal operating ranges, but I couldn't find that data to save my life.

Specs are from the Ford Powertrain Control / Emissions Diagnosis manual... better known as the PCED.
