I was wondering if anyone out there has done the throttle hang fix and has video of the performance difference.

Yeah and now it's ruined. Hey elraido, why don't you do it yourself and post a vid!? :D Just a thought

Geez, make me do all the work of drilling a hole into a cap and installing it. Think I have all day to work on something like that. Kids now a days.

As brapple said, the difference depends on the size of the hole drilled and some other things, so a vid of it probably wouldn't be quite as helpful as you might think elraido. However, it could be somehting kind of nice to have available for people who come along down the road wondering the same thing. Perhaps the suggestion to take some vid of it yourself could be a legit one, if you have the means to make one and post it.
Shame to come in here and see some newbie that's only been here a few months trashing a long time CEG vet and making an idiot of himself, dirtying up the whole thread. Reminds me why I don't look at the forums much anymore.

People are starting to get "comfortable" on here, what with all the "don't make fun of me", "don't say something opposite of what I want to hear", and "I don't WANT to have thick skin, meanie!!" crap that's multiplying and mutating on these forums recently.

Used to be, a newbie was a newbie UNTIL THEY CONTRIBUTED SOMETHING HELPFUL on a REPEATED BASIS, not simply as a timestamp. People are getting far too comfortable, far too fast, anymore.

What are these copper caps called! Where do i go to get them. I wanna learn bout this and do it...

They are just plumbing copper end caps, you can get them at any plumbing store or hardware store. Should be bins and bins full of them....fairly cheap too. Just find the right size, drill the hole, put a little vasoline or other lube on it, and install. :) Like they said, get a few of them to try different size holes and find the one feels best

Nevermind, i'm no longer useful. Elraido beat me to it. The link is below anyhow.

I believe it's just a "copper pipe cap" should be available at any good sized hardware store.

HOWTO said:
The "throttle hang" fix consists of installing a restrictor plate in the form of a 1/2" COPPER pipe cap inserted INSIDE the 3/4" rubber hose that supplies air to the bypass air valve.

See I contributed something useful :)

Here's the link to the complete howto:

My brother did it on his... and I don't think he was that pleased with it... said it makes it more jerky when you shift because you have to worry about keeping your foot on the gas so the RPM's don't drop when your driving and cause it to jerk... but don't take my word for it... I haven't done it... but if you want to ask him about it.. his ID is SVT_22 on here..
