I should start a poll that is titled "who would flip out if I sold the enkeis and the OZs". I would have at least 42 people mad at me, because the other 8 people that voted on those two styles also PMd me and asked if they could buy them!

I love those Foucs SVT I would go with those. I think they give it a nice clean look but you will need to get two for the trailer.which I think is sweet.

My vote, and personal favorite, even though it's not on the list..........

 good stuff...

Joe, in your project trailer pics, it looks like you have a spare wheel mounted inside the trailer... so would you really need 7 wheels? ...

As for the poll, I love the FSVT wheels on any Contour for the most part. However, even tho you said your current setup is 75% coming off, I think those Enkei's look awesome on your car. I think you should leave it alone, but either way if you must change, stick with 18" because your car definitely looks like a strictly showcar now that you did the trailer. 17" wheels are better for DD IMO...

Well, even with all the input from you guys (thanks everyone), I sold the OZs because there were only 4 , I am selling the GF-1s because there are just too many damn spokes for me , and I am keeping the FSVT chrome 17's...... I wish these were 18" and I know the FSVTs are a downgrade in the "looks" compared to the GF-1s, but will deal with that because I like chrome and 5 spokes .

Thanks again, here is a "unclean" picture of the FSVTs installed with 6mm spacers:

I like the simple clean look of the FSVTs - thanks for the support guys. They are growing on me and as soon as I can clean/detail the car they should really look nice.

Driving feels much better even only going from a 40 series tire to a 45 series. It softens the harsh bumps a little more and now my speedo is 100% accurate.

now do the spacers make that much of a difference? i have been on the fence about putting them on the green SVT

I had to put at least a 5mm spacer on the fronts to clear the 13" Baer brake calipers and I put the spacers on the rears too right away just to balance the offset of the wheels. It is an astetic upgrade pushing the wheels out with spacers and it changes the handling too. If I wanted to add spacers for the "look" I would do a thicker spacer to get the wheels out to the edge of the rear wheel well without rubbing.

Without the spacers and using FSVT 17" 5 spoke wheels, the back side of the spokes would hit the caliper body. Here is a pic with the 6mm spacers installed:

I am sickened by the FSVT wheels...yeah they look decent...but they are like having Cobra R wheels on a Mustang. Seen one with em....you seen em all. I would have loved the OZ wheels repowdered darker for your car...and I am bias here....but Black Chrome powdercoat looks •••••in in person!! lol They just take it down to a level that is nearly stockish looking.

I am sorry Joe....I know thats a hard read...but thats IMO.

same can be said for many things. I for one like focus wheels on contours no matter how much they are played out, they are a tried and true wheel. I have cobra r's on my stang and like them, always did and I hear it from people every now and then ( I also get tons of thumbs up and the car has won trophies on the flip side)but hey same can be said for fox stangs with bullitts, pony r's and welds. these are wheels that are getting well played but still look damn good, although same caint be said for the over played large cowl hoods on stock or mild motor stangs IMHO.

I do agree with both sides - I like to be different, but I like clean, subtle mods that don't say "hey, I'm a ricer". I appreciate the more sinister look of the GF-1 wheels and the weight of them (nice and light), but I LOVE the look of chrome.

Matter of fact I had more people approach me about the car when it had the big 18" KMC chrome wheels, and the day after I swapped over to the FSVTs I had 2 people comment on my car in random parking lots .

I guess the "different" part of my setup is that mine are chrome and not the typical silver, which are over played but still look good on our cars with the correct spacers.
