The story behind this tour?

That was Rick's (buckshott77) silver svt. He rolled it at an autocross event and proceeded to tear the car down to the frame and sell off the parts. He had a huge pictoral of how he broke the car down with a few cegers. He even cut the chasis down to peices.

Roughly October 2001 if memory serves me correctly. That topic is what got me visiting the forums daily (and later addicted) and convinced of my car's safety. That video will be forever infamous ...

 Ouch, thats gotta suck. I showed that to a friend of mine, another contour owner, he said that anyone who rolls a Contour needs there license taking away.:troutslap: lol

why? its not like there is anything particularly special about the contour except for its history.

I say anybody who successfuly rolls a hummer (the good one) deserves to have their license taken away.

with buckshots tours, there is a reason why they could roll. Look up why. What is he doing now anywhos?

Him and Brad Noon tore it down and the footage made it in the SZ 02 iirc. Hilarious!

friends are known for saying stupid things...

And Rick is enjoying family life these days.

I just showed your post to a friend, and he said "anyone with that horrible of grammar should have their green card taken away." :blackeye:

anyone who rolls a Contour needs there license taking away.

There have been plenty of comments as to why this is a stupid statement (and I'm sure many more will come), but here's my input:
While there are plenty of a-holes "racing" on the street and endangering others, Rick took his car to the track to race in a controlled environment without endangering others. There's something to be said about that.

I just read your post to myself, and I said "what crawled up your butt and died." Then I said "How childish."

There have been plenty of stupid statements as to why this is someones opinion.

Why don't we grow up and get this back on topic?

Because we personally know Rick and it kind of pisses one off. Tell your 16 year old friend to get a cluepon. I could roll any car giving the right circumstances. Don't know why it being a Contour has to do with the price of tea in China.

you're the jackass who took it off topic!!!

Funny, because when I read my own statement, I laughed. You were the one with the bold comment of how rolling a Contour over should result in a loss of license. I just put you into the same position you put people who roll Conoturs over, into.

P.S. - A rabbit crawled up my ass. He was doing just fine. It was your grammar that killed him. :p

I didn't make the comment in the first place. I just posted it because I thought it was, and still think it is funny. I understand why you would be upset, but I didnt think a childish flame-war would start cause of it.

I got a good laugh out of that one !

Take no offense mzracer360. Everything I say is sarcastic, and for humor. You're new, and don't know Rick personally. There are quite a few of us who have met him, or done busines with him, and know that he's a good guy. He rolled the car at the track, **** happens. Had he done it on a public street, just messing around where someone could get hurt, I would agree with you. ;)

And if I'm not mistaken, that wasn't just another SVT. IIRC it was supercharged, no? I know at some point one of his SVTs was said to put out ~350hp or so. He's posted on a local car forum here in Iowa too.

The SVT he got after that was supercharged, and as far as I know he still owns it.

Iowa State huh, I'll be there in January for classes. Nice to see someone else in the NECO/CEG community goes there.
