well long story short and long absence. I had joined the army, spent 2 years in and now im back. Upon return my grandparents offered up their old car for me to buy.

Its not a sports car but i cant complain.

My "new" 1998 ford Taurus SE, WITH......41k on the clock.
still sitting on original tires(50%+life left in them), to be replaces soon.
dealer maintained!

got some plans for the car and will post on the progress of that, Currently its stock.

plans? please just keep it clean, their is not much you can do to a taurus unless you wanna put a huge system in it, and its not a sho. that said, it is very clean and with that low of miles on it I would baby it.

really just putting some decent(not 22" chrome) rims, the sho exhuast(w/bumber), CAI, maybe sway bars from the sho.

Sweet! I sort of fell into a similar deal with my parents handing off their 2001 Sable to me when they got their 2009 Sable. I have a Vulcan too, but mine has 230K on it! :) Still runs like a top. A really old top!
Take care of it!

i had an older taurus with a duratec motor with about 189K when i sold it but same here she ran like a best still yours is much nicer though .. mine had plum purplish interior though .. terrible .. also a vehicle i got from grandma.. lol .. enjoy i'll be looking forward to a sho bumper and exhaust on it at the least...

I had a 2001 vulcan taurus. With almost as low of mileage that i bought off some kid whos dad gave it to him and he wanted to buy a honda or something. Anyways, i loved that car to death lol.

Hey Devan, that looks like a nice DD you picked up and since you said you needed tires, well, I've got a guy at Discount Tire back home in Michigan that can hook you up, drop me a PM if your interested. Maybe he can set up you up some rims too while your at it, whatever you want.

Ha I had an 01 Taurus as my first car. The vulcan will last forrrrrrreeeeeevvvvvvverrrrrrrrrrrrrr...the torque converter not so much. but damn they are borrrrrrring to drive, not worth modding at except for a decent stereo, just use it to get from A to B, it'll be a grandma mobile no matter what you do to it. Even the V8 SHOs are yawners

Hey Devan, show everyone those wheels you want for the Taurus. Also, if your ever on the eastside, I've got a good place to flush the trans fluid, coolant and oil changes for you. I've been dealing with them since 96', kinda like Discount Tire!

Very nice! Clean! I like the first set of wheels.

He only showed me the second set Hectour, yeah, I like the first ones alot, can't go wrong with either one. I know Discount Tire only orders what's on their website only. Those Borbet's look kinda like the Fusion wheels, the 18's, nice set! Anything will wake that catfish up when it comes to rims.

The trans flush, using the T-tech machine (complete fluid exchange) should still be under $100 but you've gotta tell them Roger sent you, ask for Bassem. The place is located behind the BP station on the SE corner of Metro Parkway and Harper. I've been dealing with Bassem, Ali and Joe since 1996, awesome customer service and I still consider them good friends too, even though I only see them when I go there. They changed my g/f's oil and trans fluid (drain and fill) for $20.00, I supplied the oil and trans fluid and they took care of the rest. Don't think you can get that good of a deal because I've been dealing with them for almost 15 years now, but no worries going there, they do it all. 586-790-8627 and remember, ask for Bassem and tell him Roger sent you!

BTW, I checked on wheels through Discount Tire and only came up with 4 wheels for your car in that size, these are the best for sure, IMO and that counts too, the Voxx MG3. I only chose 17's because I figured you would wanna plus it 2 and not 1 or 3, am I right or no?
