TB???

Im thinking about getting an optimized throttle body, but to do this ill have to pick one up from a junk yard cuz my car is a daily driver. Do the throttle bodies change from year to year or would a throttle body from a 98 be the same? My contour is a 99, build date 5/99.

yes. I got a TB from a 96, and they were the same.

98 to 99 should be no exception.

great. im paranoid about the little things and for some reason they looked different. The bolts on the back of the plate seemed different. thanks for clarifying.

just got to majorly clean the thing up now so i can use it when i send mine in.

then i just stick with getting mine ported. Can i take a guess that i ours is 60mm? since it sounds like the 65mm TB a bigger...

I just did some research on the subject. The Focus uses two different throttle bodies (one for Manual Trans. and one for Auto.). Easier to stick with yours and get it ported. Let me know how that turns out.

edit: some food for thought, the stickied dyno thread shows a 70mm mustang TB maybe ill try that and if it works get it ported.
