i am putting a 04 taurus 3.0 in my svt. i can get a 01 escap pan and pickup for cheap. what is the bennif of using the escape pan. i been reading but dont the holes still not lign up between the escape pan and the tranny? my car already had a 2001 tarus 3.0 with stock pan so cannot use svt one. thanks for the help.

taurus pan vs escape pan???

Simply put the escape pan is the best. All tranny bolt holes will line up.
Taurus pan has a slight angle to it where as the escape pan is flat like the svt pan but is mcuh better.

It's true the escape pan is the best. I'm not 100%, but I think you will still have to get and escape dipstick and tube also. If you will measure the dipstick you have I can compare it to my escape dipstick.
