Okay i know there already have been threads on this so forgive me but the question i have is if there is something wrong with my radiator, what do i do, is the car dead or are there aftermarket ones idk. plz help me:confused:

first lets post in the correct forum, this isn't a troubleshooting post.

next you find a used one or you get an aftermarket one ....

That looks good!!!

Regardless, I use a stock Contour 2.5L Radiator on my 3L Turbo SVT! Never had a problem!

May look into getting the Genesis one tho, that doesnt look bad at all!

Just FYI... I guarantee that is not the same size at the SVT radiator. As it says it fits all years and models. That radiator is a standard replacement, not an SVT replacement.

well..it is a 2 core radiator...but unless we know the volume of it...we won't have an idea how much cooling capacity it can give. to compare it to the svt.

I know...this doesn't mean much...but it does state....
High Performance Replacement Radiator for your OEM Ford Contour Radiator

Understood. My Contour SVT hasnt had a CSVT Radiator since the radiator broke.

I purchased an all year all contour 2.5L Radiator and it has been working since, with the 2.5L, 3L and 3L Turbo without any heating issues.

I've never ever had temp issues with my 3L on a NON SVT radiator - I've only heard the fans come on once in the 3 years of ownership, temp gauge never moves.

I'm running a 2.5L completely bone stock SVT motor with the original 1999 radiator and I block off the lower half of this radiator in the winter, or the coolant and oil never come up to temp, and yes, my thermostat is fine, and I've even tried the higher temp 3.0L Taurus thermostat - no difference.

I think for the 90+% of the CSVTs here that aren't 3.0L'd, supercharged, turbo'd, or open tracked, the OEM CSVT radiator is way more than adequate, and changing to the normal Contour thinner core rad is probably not going to be noticed except in the most extreme conditions.
