I have been looking for another gauge cluster for my CSVT because I have determined that the Coolant gauge is no longer functional.

Does anyone have an extra one out of a parts CSVT or a Mystique??
I just need the cluster itself, not the white gauge face...and mileage really doesn't matter as my car has a 33k motor, 104k body, and a 55k tranny!

thanks for any help!!

We have a gauge cluster for a non-SVT V6. It has the tach and everything and I think the layout is the same, but with black faced gauges. Oh, I just realized that the Speedo probably doesn't go as high as an SVT. I can check it when I get home though.

the speedo only reads to 130 but that shouldn't matter ... also if there is a tach the layout is the same ...

It doesn't matter if it's SVT or not. You just pull the temp gauge out of the cluster and lock it into the other cluster. Swap the black face for the white face if it isn't already. Very easy.

I think hotdimmes has one he is trying to sell, it is white gauge faces though.

Nope, I just had overlays for sale. I agree with tony, just get one out of any gauge cluster and swap out the temp gauge and use the face from your current one. I used fishing line to remove the faces just like in the knauberizing faq.

Thanks for the idea about swapping out the temp gauge! I didn't know you could do that...
I bought a mystique cluster with Tach and everything on Ebay, so Hopefully it'll get here soon and I can finally fix it!!

Thanks for the help!

Well, I swapped out the temp gauge today but it didn't work right. At first there was 2 resistors, one on the back of the gauge and one in-line on the back of the cluster and that caused it to read hot right away!
Then I took the resistor out of the back of the replacement gauge (which is from a 98 Mystique) and it read just over half-way between hot and cold...

Then I put that back in and removed the in-line resistor on the back of the cluster, and it read the same: just over halfway between hot and cold...

I have new temp sender and new temp sensor, why is this not working?
the backs of the Mystique and stock SVT clusters are a little bit different from each other when it comes to the Temp gauge...

Any help is much appreciated!!! and if anyone has the temp gauge from an SVT or the whole cluster they want to get rid of, I will get it from you... just send me a PM. THANKS!!!!

Well, the gauge cluster I got from the Mystique is an early 1998 model cluster, and apparently the layout on the back had been changed a bit... the coolant gauge and odometer are "wired" up a little different...

So I guess I am in need of a SVT cluster, or a 99-00 Mystique /Contour cluster...

So I am still looking if anyone has one available...I'm going to PM todras, as he stated before that he has one with no needles, which is fine. But please PM me if anyone else has any leads..

Thanks!
