I know these things don't last very long at all. Now mine is dead, sort of. It may have a short in it. It works, halfway. So I'm just going to buy a new motor for it. The problem is, I can't find any. I've looked all over Autozone, and Advance Auto, and couldn't find them. If anyone knows of a place I can find one, and look at their price, please post me a link? Thanks guys.

how is this a troubleshooting post?

as always with questions like this you will have to visit a dealer, junkyard or the classifieds.

It's troubleshooting because it halfway works, like I stated in the post. Maybe someone had a similar problem and found a way to fix it, such as a short or something else. I didn't think it would fit in a General Discussion post. And thanks Jolly. I'll look there.

Where did you ask how to figure out what was wrong with the sunroof? You just stated that it wasn't working. You did however ask where to buy a new motor and that was the only question in the post. hence why I moved it here.

The places listed are really the only way you have to get one new, as the part is now obsolete from Ford. The last time I checked with Steve at Tousley Ford there was one left at the obsolete dealer but that was it... was 172 dollars plus shipping IIRC.

The cheapest way to do it is make a post or scan the classifieds here... when mine died last year that is exactly what I did and managed to find one that took care of the problem.

I'm going to stop by a junk yard tomorrow after work. They have a 98, or 99 Contour with a sunroof sitting out there. Looks like it was hit head on. I'm going to see if it works, and if I can just have it.
