So, Ive been looking for countless time. And this is getting ridiculous. Seems like no one has a solid answer to replacing this stab-o-shoc off a SVT, other than contacting Terry, or Billy Jean, whoever it may be.
There must be a better option.
The first thing I want to settle is the physical name of this mount. Is it a front roll resistor, front transmission mount? What is it?
Ford is unable to help me, Stabilus is unable to provide me with a comparable damper, and their partner "Faucher" in Canada is a bunch of french guys who dont want to help either.
Been to hydraulic shops in the area, and they don't want to provide help either. Saying stupid responses like "go to a junk yard", when I know all they have to do is open their catalogue and order a gas damper. Especially when they have the measurements in front of them.

So, am I left to just replace the whole mount, because I cant find the shock? If so, what is it called, where do I get it, and how much am I expected to pay.

the front roll resistor and the stab-o-shock are 2 different parts. all Contour got a front roll resistor (looks like a motor/trans mount but doesnt support any weight) while only SVTs also got the stab-o-shock (the actual damper piece). the part probably doesnt exist in Fords catalog unless you have the exact part number, the passenger side muffler hanger is the same way.

Im sure its been mentioned before as to where buy a replacement but im not sure of where that may be off hand. honestly, you dont even need it if you install poly roll resistors, but it works well to decrease the motor movement and keep NVH down.

Yeah, Stabilus doesnt care. They dont want to help. Say they dont have anything.
Anyways, are the BAT HD Mount inserts enough to install to the front mount, to get rid of that shock all together?

probably not. I would contact Pole120 and see if he still makes poly filled roll resistors to replace both the front and rear ones. NVH will go up some with them but they will for sure keep the engine from rocking back and forth under load.
