Speaker wiring harness?

Getting ready to replace the rear door speakers in my son's 99 and need to know if an aftermarket wiring harness is available or will I need to splice in new connectors for the speakers?

P.S. I should add that his speaker grills do say "stereo" on them so I guess it's the "premium sound"

You can buy speaker plugs that basically are plug in play so you don't have to cut your factory speaker harness

My speaker grills say stereo as well but the car did not have premium sound.

It is very easy to build small jumpers that will plug into the factory harness and your aftermarket speaker, if you don't want to cut the factory harness. Not that you would every go back to a factory speaker. Premium sound has a silver & black gel type sticker over the stereo marking stating so .

I have had no luck in finding the harnesses Crutchfield - no luck, best buy says they dont exist... Any ideas?

a quick google search will find almost anything you want. I also found this with is crutchfield....

I found some at best buy when I went up there a while back and most stereo shops should have these.

bgrogan, thanks for steering me in the right direction. Not sure why I missed those at Crutchfield - sometimes I look to hard.

Royalblue, yes I read your post and would go that route if the harnesses were not available but then again you bring up a good point about never going back to the stock speakers.
