Took the truck out today. 2002 Silverado, 5.3L, I/E/178,000 miles,full tank of gas too.

Best of 15.194 and an overall average of 15.2. Funny thing is the first run was a 15.2 but was pinging really bad. So I left, filled up with premium and still ran 15.2s the rest of the day.

I've been keeping myself away from really doing any mods to it. Though I've been back on the truck forums lately and there seems to be an active group around here. Years ago I looked at a Whipple and decided against it.

Should business go well this year and at least one of the SVT's get back on the road and I've got the time, a 6.0/4L80E trans or Whipple/heads/cam/4L80E trans may go in at some time.

i ran a 15.2 in my 3L untuned and with a lower compression ratio of 9:1 i sure hope stock 3L's run a little quicker than that.....
