My 2000 V6 Contour has only 93,000 miles on it. Two weeks ago I replaced the UIM and LIM gaskets without incident. Everything went back together fine and I don't believe this is related to my problem.
Last week my wife and I noticed some shuddering with the engine between 2-3,000 RPMs with the torque converter locked up. This problem is consistent enough that I can reproduce it consistently, and it only seems to happen after TC lockup.
No misfiring at idling, no hesitation, and runs like a brand new car during most circumstances. Considering the only two common themes are RPMs and TC lockup, I'm thinking it could be something in the transmission.
What do you guys think?
