I was looking for part number for my mufflers for ContourSVT99 and I figured I would post my stack. I dont feel like adding it all.

Just added them $11,352.63 without cost of the car.

the first Contour only, repair/maintenance receipts between 24-77k miles (and the reason the car was sold :blackeye: ).

Mark's file didn't have anything for the motor, trans work, or suspension in it, but I've got a binder a little thicker than that double sided, and with conservative estimates for the stuff I didn't have paperwork for, and what I've done since buying it, we are at over $20,000 between the three owners. :help:

Oh geez, I'll go take a pic.... This would probably be only half of what should be in there. I have been buying online for quite a few years now and havn't printed reciepts...

that is since 2003 .... so it was spread out over the years ... remember the paint was 4k, 3L ran about 1k and the turbo kit ran me about 4k. when I first talked about the turbo kit the gf told me to go for it .... now that I spent most of the summer working on the car and not spending as much time with her as she wanted she didn't like the idea .... but she likes the sound/feel of the boost

my car, my hobby, I don't care what anyone else says ...

I am not to far off from someone else ... and I know of someone else that has to have spent the same or more .... can you guess who?

I usually don't get receipts from all my debt. I go to one shop and they have all my stuff in the filing cabinet..spent over 2k to just get the thin running..so i think my stack is pretty well off :S

Sorry Robert, I'm not the greatest at holding onto receipts. I know the suspension was ~$700 for the Koni/Eibach set. I paid $800 for the 3L motor back when they weren't going for $300 a pop. Header/y-pipe package was ~$660, Bassani ~$600, Quaife ~$600, plus the huge box of parts from SPMotorsports that I doubt I kept the receipts for. No receipts for installation as I either did the work myself, with friends, or had a Ford mechanic do the work on the side. I think I was in the ~$16k - $17k range before selling the car, just in mods. I could justify it as I did buy the car new. I guess this is the reason you have such a nice car, today. It's easy to take care of your stuff when you shell this kind of money into it.

You forgot to add "my money"
you ain't married so it be all yours! :D

lmao, very true ... but no more mod money for me after the 29th .... so I am glad I got everything done that I wanted to the car. although if I didn't do all of that work and didn't by my SVT I would of almost had the 20% to put down on a house. oh well it all worked out anyway ....

I am probably into my '95 around $15k - $18k with the purchase price of $5k in there..... BUT I totalled the car and got $5,600 back from insurance, which brings me back down to about $10k-$13k......

I won't kick you in the weiner Brapp, don't worry...... congrats on the house ;) and thanks for the help with my build.

I've sunk about a thousand each year since 2004 into the car. It wasnt enough to warrant manilla on it. Generally just the first year of mods, and then it was tires + preservation costs. I think I blew $1000 more for paint and bolt on mods for SZ05, so maybe $5-6k speaking as a high estimate.

It really hasn't been a money pit for me yet. Hence, why I still have her.

ive got about 8,000 in receipts saved for the black car just in modifications. i stopped collecting them last year. i cry everytime i add up the numbers

im pretty high up there too. i pad 8000 for the car 3 years ago with 12k. rims, springs, and other misc bolt ons were around 1500, then when i blew the 2.5L i took out a 15k dollar student loan for a project car in class and built my 3L and painted it. so right around $24,500 that misc. stuff also includes struts, and general matience, and half of that 15k i still havent been able to put on the car. all the turbo parts are sitting near my tv stand
