I attempted today to replace the Idler Pully on the main drive belt but found the ones offered by NAPA, Dayco and others were about 3/8"-1/2" larger in diameter. It did not appear that this would fit in the allowable area due to the proximety of the Belt Tensioner, so I opted to wait out the order from Ford Parts?? Anyone else experience this? BTW the bolt head is 15mm.

I pressed a new bearing into the old pulley.

The V6 fixed idler pulley uses one of the most common bearing profiles on The Planet, NAC6203 with rubber seals. Go to a bearing supply and ask for a 6203-2RS or similar, it should be under $10. Get the old bearing pressed out and the new bearing pressed in and you're back in business, most times the bearing supply will press in the new bearing for free or a small fee.

I do it to Focus ones too, but you must drill out rivets, split pulley, put bearing in, and then bolt back up with bolts. Still, make like $10 and much easier next time. I rebuild serp belt tensioners too.
