Well anyone that has owned a CSVT knows that over time things just start to break. For Instance, over the last year I have had a rear passenger tail light wiring problem, a driver side inside handle problem, antenna mast problem, and a trunk not opening with the remote problem. And not let me forget my paint is starting to fade ( Vegas heat will do that). But I must admit that I haven't taken care of my Tour the way I should have. Well on thursday I worked on the door and tail light issue and found one that my door control cable had broken, two, on my tail light the connector that attaches to the light socket was faulty, and three, I didn't have a clue what was wrong with my trunk in regard to the remote not working. Well after spending endless hours on the internet looking for a control cable for the door and a replacement connector for the light I decided to go to the junk yard. I found my parts on a mystique and in 3 minutes time had my control cable and electrical connector and guess what I paid a whopping $5. TeamFord with discounted price was $43 bucks for the control cable and who knows how much they would have charged for the tailight electrical connector. I had the parts on my car in ten minutes. So not being a mechanic I am very proud of myself for one saving money and two putting the parts on my self. Just think what the dealer would have charged you. So my point is this, the internet might not always be the best place to find quality used parts, sometimes they are already in your backyard.
