I try my best to not talk much to people about cars especially those that are die hard domestic no replacement for displacement types.

so there are a quite of bit of car heads at my job, everything from trucks with mudd tires to imports,euro and domestic muscle. so the truck guys dont usually say much but leave it up the muscle heads to talk garbage. one supervisor talksabout his bone stock mustang beating up on motorcycles like hayabusa and so on. and everything that wasnt muscle was considered a rice burner. being that I love alltypes of cars and have the knowledge that just because you have something that isfast dont mean that there isnt something quicker out there.

my pointt to all of this is why do it seem like its always the camaro,mustang guys that feellike they need to look down on the tuner community. been around individuals that have supper cars and they dont even speak that way. about the tuner community.

pardon some of the mistakes.im typing from a pda. but I meant when I go to nycand hang out with my friends who own some modded exotics,they do not act the way the muscle guys act.
 
Well, the easy answer would be that people are just meaner these days. When I grew up in the 60's there was good natured ribbing of one another on whose car was better or who made the best cars. Amongst my circle of friends I was the only Mopar guy in a sea of Fords and GM products but it didn't bother me. Actually the only thing that did bother me, and still does today, is the lack of parts for my Cuda vs. all the stuff for the Ford and GM people. Back then the import "problem" hadn't taken root yet, well except there were VW beetles all over the place. But yes, lack of character and what ever else baggage people bring with them these days are probably the reasons it's the way it is now.

Haa, you think you couldn't find parts? I owned a few Jeeps and an AMX from 1984 to 86. Try finding AMC parts!

It's because they're all brainless lemmings that don't know much about cars, so they get what "everyone" else gets... a mustang. I hate them.. they're slow bland cars, and their owners are idiots. If they get beat by someone else, then they pay someone to make their car faster... and most likely have no clue exactly what they paid for.
 
Focus on the person. It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it (and whether you talk smack or not.)

You have a good attitude and they don't. I can't comment as to why, but I've met that type driving a lot of different cars--Mustaros or otherwise.
 
I agree with morbid. Almost all the people that buy mustangs (80%) they bought them because they think that they are fast, but they have no clue about what is fast because they buy a v6 ATX mustang. If you don't believe me, just look in the Autotrader magazine how many mustangs v6 ATX are for sale.

And, yes!!! Those are the guys that say that they have a SUPER FAST MUSTANG!!... jajaja.

these type of individuals make me upset and not that all mucle car tuners are that way but 90 percent of the ones I come across were/are

well after hearing so much trash talking.I told them that they should race my buddy who owns a 720hp supra. there werent to many comments after I said that.

Big surprise. :rolleyes: You obviously haven't hung out with anyone with anything faster than an AT Mustang V6. And for someone trying to prove a point about someone knowing anything about cars, I would assume you'd know that a Mustang doesn't have an ATX!! Most "Mustang guys" are the first ones to work on their own cars. They aren't Ferrari's we're talking about, where the owners have more money than sense! Congratulations though, everyone is now dumber for having read both of your posts. :blackeye:

Here, I'll refresh your memory. You said TWICE, that the Mustangs have an ATX. You're basing your knowledge on Autotrader Magazine for fugg's sake! Ofcourse there are going to be a lot of them for sale, there are a LOT of V6 Mustangs out there! And the last I checked, when you're advertising a product, you want to talk it up to potential buyers. Ofcourse they aren't going to appeal to the guys looking for 07 Shelby Cobras. They want the 17 year old kid like yourself, that is used to 130 Escort horsepower, to look at their ad. :blackeye: But that was a nice overgeneralization of Mustang guys.
