Hi Gang,

I own a 1995 smurf Blue V6 5spd.
Working on the rear brakes. Would like to know - is there a tool to press / screw in the cyl of the caliper?
everything is going great and seems like an easy job.

Chris

Great thanks, i will be trying that today!
Any special considerations with the hand brake. Do i need to remove anything?

Cant wait to have good brakes

No need to disconnect anything with the e-brake. Just keep the e-brake down, and use the tool to move the piston back into the caliper.

Hey Gang, Brake job went very well with only one hitch. Napa sold me a caliper with no bleeder valve threads...needless to say i put everything on in short time with no problems only to realize when bleeding the fluid, i could not tighten. Napa found and replaced with a new Caliper with no problem. Also bought the caliper cyl screw in tool, which made easy work of pushing the cyl in to clear the pads.

Great info and thanks for all the help.

Car stops well now with no problems

Chris
