11k? not bad seeing it retails over 23k only structural work that needs to be done is on the very end of the left frame rail where the rebar bolts on is bent up,you can see that in the first pic , the rest of the core support is all bolt together , easy fix really

our company car is an older rav4 and it such a piece of ...
Me : "hey can i borrow the rav4 for the weekend to drive to NY?"
Boss: "Will you crash it?"
Me: "Nope."
Boss: "then no, unless you promise to total it"

Everyone dreads driving it but we (I) use it alot to keep the mileage off my car.

If you like it thats all that matters though.

i heard the older ones are crap and i wouldnt have gotten one of them but i hear alot of positive about this newer body style, well see , ahhh what do i care its for the wife anyway ..haha j/k

my brother had an '04 with a 5 speed, was super nice to drive.

the I4 motor with the 5 speed had ass loads of torque, I could smoke the tires in 2nd gear. Plus it got really good mileage for the size of the car and motor, regularly would see 29-30 mpg average city and highway.

that was included for 11k

Now it's making some sense to me. I figured 11k was for the car alone.

That is an awesome deal if you are handy enough. Hopefully your state isn't too strict with salvage titles. We have to go through so much crap here in CT that it's not even worth it at all.

They need tons of parts receipts (can't use your own parts laying around), pictures (before, during and after repairs), VIN's, etc, etc. :blackeye:

Rav 4's are pretty nice little SUVs from what I've seen. Remote start and radios are a piece of cake.... Should be a pretty economical vehicle once your all said and done.

$11K for a $23K Rav-4 with under 4K on the clock?

Seems like a pretty damned good deal to me. New car half price.

Re-assembling that front clip is a weekend project, all the parts are there. They even did the hard part for him by removiing the busted and bent front clip that was there.

ya but sitting on a salvage title is really going to kill the resale potential.

cool project and nice car but I dont know if I would pay 11k for anything that
required that kind of work.
