Problems with Tousley Ford

Has anyone else had problems with Tousley Ford lately? I sent them an email though their web site in regards to a Torsen and bearings. I was told that they were back ordered. I waited a week and sent another email. No reply. I tried again with another subject header. Nada. So, I PMed them through the forums. No reply. Since I work during the day its hard for me to call. Well, today I set aside some time to give them a call. I was asked to leave a message. Now i'm a little pissed. I called the parts department directly. The guy on the other end spoke poor English so I repeated the part number several times. Once he repeated the part number back to me he told me they did not stock them then hung up. At that point I wanted to reach out and touch someone!

Just my luck.

Read whole thread. Its all my fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called them up once and was able to get Steve on the phone right away. Ordered my part and got it a couple days later. Only problem was that it was the wrong part. :help: Since it only cost me like two bucks I didn't bother calling back.
 
Don't bother with their website ordering or email. Call Steve and it's a done deal, he is usually spot on. I've also got great service twice with a Mike or Mark. Most other people that answer phone once they hear SVT Performance discount will make you wait for Steve.
 
I gave them a call. No one by the name Steve or Mike there. Hope they didnt get canned. I did talk to a Reid that set me staight. I bought the "kit" with shipping for $585.00. They still have 2 more on the shelf!!
 
I called last weekend and asked for Steve right away. He was busy so they guy on the line asked what I wanted. I told him what I was looking for and that it was for the SVT contour and everything and the guy said "Um yea, I'll let you talk to Steve, he usually handles all that stuff, haha." He seemed nice and all, just admitted he was clueless as to what I wanted and said I should wait for Steve.
 
Just talked to Steve yesterday. I think you're on the fail boat Matt. Don't know where you're calling.

ask for parts, then ask for steve. you should deal with nobody else there if you plan to get a discount. you gotta say your from the forums, and youve gotta ask for steve. simply put. and i know steve personally, i live like a half hour from tousley. he's AWESOME and GREAT AT HIS JOB. but you gotta give him a break. he's getting calls from anyone in the lower 48 states that needs performance parts. so give him a break. the best way to get ahold of him is to call. btw torsens are usually back ordered. he keeps one in stock at all times but they get sold so fast they go on backorder all the time.

Chill out, :mad: I dont have a problem with Steve I never even talk to the guy! All I'm saying is what I was told. I did leave a message on an answering machine maybe it was his it just told me an ext number. When I called again I got Reid. I personally like the guy I spoke with. Like I said I ordered the complete kit with shims, bearings and gaskets to my door for $585.00. It was a deal to me so I bought it.

doesn't matter who you talk to, long as you get the discount! i just talk to steve because i always have and we're on a first name basis so its nice to just walk around like i own the place and be able to go look for parts if i don't know what i'm exactly looking for.

We all like doing that. Till they say "you don't belong back here go back to the waiting area". That happens to me alot. Mostly in Hospitals but thats a long story of its own. LOL
 
lol its funny. i break my car so much, that if i walk in there and i see him nowhere, they usually will be like tyler, just go back there. he's here somewhere. LOL. and they have like 20 parts guys there, most all of them know me by first name. i think i should break my car less!

i'm like a kid when i go in there. i sit in steves' chair and swing back and forth and pick up every part on will call on his desk. so most of the cool parts on cobras and such have pretty much been in my hand too, lol.

i almost talked steve out of a 80mm maf housing because someone sent two in for a core, but i think he was gonna send him one back unless he didnt want it. hahahahhahah

Aha now I see your problem. Didn't look it up but know well that 702 area code is Las Vegas. My guess is you're actually talking about Team Ford but saying Tousley Ford in MN. No wonder why Steve is not there.

Thats alright Matt, It's not as bad as Kevin telling us he's going to order Stazi mesh from Elky when he had the SE...:laugh::laugh::laugh:
