Problem with rear window regulator

I have noticed my rear drivers window having some issues with NOT going down, so I stopped messing with it for a couple weeks. Went to the yard this weekend and got another regulator. I just got inside from swapping it out and it's still not working.
I checked the "car side" of the connector with my volt meter. When the volt meter is hooked up, it reads 0 ohms, when the window switch is depressed either up or down, it reads infinite ohms.
I took apart the wiring connector at the door and it confused me even more. I think I counted 11 wires in the door (locks, window and speaker) but there are only 8 ENTERING the door. :blackeye: I was going to try to trace the wires back, but I didn't see either of the motor plug wires through the door connector.
Is there a fuse for each motor? All my other windows works fine. I can't control this window from the door switch or the front "master" switch.
Anyone have any ideas?

are you sure the regulator works. did y =ou make sure u plugged it in. if u cant figure anything out with it & u want to try another 1 i have 1 i can send you just pay shipping. i know it worked when i took it out.
 
I have both left and right that work. Although I am not giving them away I will make you a great deal on both of them.
 
I think I just need to test both of mine with a direct wire to the battery. That will tell me if I got a bad one or not.
I got hosed on the price for this one. He charged me $60 for it and I pulled it myself. I also got a dash bezel, some other small things. He must have been having a bad day, because they always let me walk out with all kinds of stuff... well, maybe I was just due. :)

Well let me know....like I said I can't do free but I will do $50 shipped obo for both rear ones and they both work. I tested both of them with my car.
 
first thing i do with any window issue is jump the motor with my 12v makita battery and 2 jumper wires. i want to ensure functionaliy of the unit.

I tested the motor by using leads to the battery... Worked fine.
Tore the passenger side apart to see what voltage was going to it when I hit the switch... Same as the drivers side.
Then it HIT me! I had the window locks on! *face palm*
Turns out the regulator was fine the whole time. It's the drivers window control switch that is iffy. It does work sometimes, but not all the time.
Oh well, I did take the time to clean my door skins really well when they were off. 8)

When my regulators went i heard a crunch and all kinds of whining of the motor.....i thought if the regulators were bad you could still hear the motor it just wont go up and down because of the cable.......but at least you found your problem,i had 2 regulator cables snap in the same hot day almost synchronized and i had to get them up quick because it was going to rain and it was hot out.....zip ties held the window up and that car sat for a month i was mad at my csvt lol

When i first saw this i thought it was arabic writting that is awsome lol
