so I've had my car back on the road for like a week now and just been too lazy to post any pics.

here we go:

pictured here is my crap SE flywheel professionally resurfaced for $30 at napa, and the $50 lightly used SVT clutch that I ghetto resurfaced. everything got a nice cleaning and a little hightemp silver...

close up of the scuffed up pressure plate, I made sure not to remove too much material

here it is bolted to the engine

here's the box for the axle seal that is always such a paint to find the part number for
camerapictures088s.jpg

apparently Lubegard makes friction modifier which is awesome

pic of my final drive (this is the later one right?), everything was surprisingly clean inside

post 98 diff's got a grill like Rocky Balboa (obviously I'm in the market for an early diff ASAP)

these are the remnants of the two chipped teeth

new axle seal installed. Idk who has a socket bigger than 32mm just laying around, but the instructions I see around are bogus. just use a block of wood and a hammer, that worked and I didnt bugger it up like last time with the socket

slightly used TOB, also from SVTTour. installed with the proper sealant this time

Threw a little silver rim paint on the MTX while it was out

got the trans in and filled, and I see this. apparently what I thought was a crack before I decided the leak was from a lack of sealant on the TOB, really is a crack. I guess I have to try to fix this next...

if anybody can get me a good price on a early diff that would be great, I'm trying to make this little band-aid job here last till late summer/early fall. so I'd like to have an early diff, the F1 clutch kit, and hopefully an SVT flywheel together by then.

I dont think this little ghetto job is too bad considering it only cost me 170 including fluids and it should hold me over till I can get the better stuff together.
