Does anyone know how or if the PATS system can be reset. Also how to tell if it has been tripped?

What does the pats light do when you try to start your car? If it comes on and stays solid then goes out then its not a pats issue. If it blinks really fast then its a pats issue. From my experience the blue pcm fuse under th hood blew in my car due to a cracked harness. With it out it would not let my car start. It would turn over but not start.
if a non-pats key is used to start the car the system will activate, the led will blink rapidly. Just wait until it blinks normally, the system is reset. I can only guess this is the same with other PATs keys also.
to program an additional key you need the original two keys, unless its an early 98. If not you are taking a trip to the dealer.

so what it does is stays on for a minute then blinks irregularly for a while. According to the owners manual it means it has detected a problem and will not let the car start. What the problem is, is that i don't know what it is detecting. Is there anyway to detect the problem?
