Oil Filters

as some one commented you can't go wrong with oem parts .... finding this more and more with my car, oem parts just seem to work better most of the time but of course there is the added cost, but often its worth it ...

More than you ever wanted to know about the Motorcraft FL820S and it's alternatives.

WARNING: Critical Analysis

While I admire this guy's work, and I agree that the MC filter is nice...

...there are a lot of potentially misleading assumptions presented as fact, and factual holes that could be easily filled with a call to Champion Labs. I didn't read the whole thing, of course, but I read what he had to say about my favorites.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I guess.

Still, can't go wrong using the Motorcraft. Doesn't mean there aren't potentially better filters out there.

Cool!

Cool!

Awsome post JIM! Check out the filter media weight In ounces for the Amzoil oil filter compared to the rest!!? It would of been cool of the guy cut open a mobil 1! I just cant see paying more than 5 bucks for an oil filter...

I used to have a knocking noise on cold startup. Used a motorcraft filter and oil on my last oil change and the knock went away.

I switched over to amzoil filters and oil once I started my new job. I drive 3000 miles in about 3 weeks, so that is why I pay $11 for an oil filter....lasts 12,000 miles. Now I can go 2-3 months before changing it. yippeeeeeee.
