Oem Wheel Weight???

I'm pretty sure it was something like 2lbs lighter than the SVTF wheels, which makes the E1's around 19lbs. So you're looking at a 16lb weight reduction (4lbs x 4 corners... Centreline Storms weight: 15lbs).

Thanks guys... I was just curious after reading this FAQ off Centerlines website, I think the 8 to 1 ratio is a little exaggerated.........

Q: Why is the weight of wheels important?
A: Wheels are rotating mass/unsprung weight. Every 1 lb reduction in rotating mass is equivalent to an approximately 8 lb reduction in static weight. With lighter weight wheels, you will benefit from increased fuel savings, quicker braking, improved tire wear and better acceleration. Always ask about the weight of wheels. Your vehicle is not engineered for heavy wheels. Therefore, it will not perform well if you effectively put four anchors on it!

Sean, how many times has your sig changed in the past 2 weeks : P.

And i do agree with basically everything centreline said there, except for the improved tire wear.. iunno if that's true, or just them boosting themselves. I don't exactly remember what one lb of unsprung weight is equal to in static weight so i can't comment on that.
