Nicest Contour ever

outlaw'ds svt was alright, but everyone has the same mods nowdays. at todays standards, half the CSVT's out there have hightowered headlights, eyelids, a mirko, rims, and lowered. thats just a basic fact.

suneil's car? a sleeper, to basic car people. ford guys would know what it is, and really, if you know a damn thing about cars, you can tell when something is turbo'd.

but i give suneil's car two thumbs up for breaking the 400WHP mark on a built 2.5L

Just "alright" is undoubtely a misnomer. From what I could tell from the pictures I saw of that car, that paint was immaculate. Though, I have not seen pictures of that car in ages, I still think it without a doubt a very nice model of our platform. If memory serves me correct, that vehicle got into the calendar on a couple of occasions.

Suneil's exterior was not really too thrilling. I still thought that car needed bigger wheels, but under the hood was a totally different story. Quite ground-breaking as you alluded to.

Edit: If anyone has any pictures of Outlawed's car, post them up. It's been a while since I've seen pictures of that car.

bagged, i've personally chilled with crazytalk, parked next to him at the carcraft summer nat's, and looked his car over. its not extensively modified. but it's the cleanest black contour SVT currently, the airbag setup is done flawlessly, and the wheel choice works great for the image he's going for. just because your not the only bagged SVT around, don't start hatin. he did it proper :)

has nothing to do with someone else having air ride:shrug: hes said a few times about how his is better, dont just say it explain how? why because you mounted your compressors behind the bumper? no thanks. mine get pretty hot so id rather not have the heat on my custom painted plastic bumper. and because you concealed your air tank? so what i didnt want tiny tanks i wanted 1 12 gallon, mines a show car not a DD .so my compressors dont run much and ive got lots of air on tap so what exactly is better? just sounds different to me not better. and tricker he called me out several times now with no explanation of how his is better and i think its pretty silly to claim better. im sorry but i feel i have and always will have the nicest car here. i wish someone would put the time and money i do in then the site wouldnt be so lame. so hats off to you crazytalk your system is set up nice and your car does look good and i like the wheels and props for doing something different this site needs new stuff. but better
again i highly doubt that. i spared no expense when putting my kit together as well. but i do like the way you set yours up. if i drove mine i would probably done something similar but being a show car i wanted people to see all my hardware

 Mostly I was just giving you a friendly shove here and there bagged...ya know pokin fun at someone else with air ride since for the most part we are the minorities here on CEG. It wasnt about claiming and then going into a worthless rant to back it up. Was all in good fun for me...guess I never really felt the need then to go into the specifics of how I set my system up. So if I have offended you or anyone else in the past with my little jabs here and there I firmly apologize. I'm just a fun loving kinda guy!! I get jabbed all the time for putting phat chrome on a glorified escort. I just laugh and keep rollin'

This is however a perfect time to toot my own horn so...LOL... I'm rockin custom Easy Street 9 way dampening McPherson strut bags in the front and 9 way dampening Chapman style struts in the rear. I fabricated the slip tube which goes into the spindle and slip stop ring out of DOM tube which is fully Tig welded together. Front set to stiff rebound and the rear is set about middle of the road for rebound.

I'm rocking 8, 3/8" Asco valves which are controled by a billet aluminum AVS 7 switchbox. Any monkey can mount valves to their tank so I fabricated this...

out of 1" DOM tubing which mounts where my spare tire once was. The brackets that hold the valves are SS that is Tig welded to mild steel. This ring also holds my relay that controls power to my compressors. The two nubs you see on the ring, on the right hand side are drilled and tapped 3/4" DOM tube which is where my ground wires bolt to. This ring bolts to the trunk floor as well as uses the factory spare tire wing bolt just for added flava flave. The ring was then sandblasted, primed, black basecoat, and then cleared after this picture was taken.

Yes my comps are inside my rear bumper, but I'm not switch happy so they dont run very often. They are Viair 480s. All comps get hot, more so in the south and out west. Of no real concern to me cuz again, not switch happy. Plus, we've installed numerous comps behind bumpers with no problems. The compressor mounts are made of the same 1" DOM tube same as the valve ring...

All fully Tig welded by yours truely.

My air tank is a slim 5 gallon. Didnt need anymore since I dont play around much. Its not concealed...yet. It sits atop the factory trunk liner. Its in the process of being custom painted and I have plans to build a false floor out of aluminum to give it kind of a counter sunk look. This is how it sits.

I didnt have the airline holes drilled at the time of this picture but they run straight through the carpeted floor to the valve ring underneath.

I think that pretty much sums it up for my system.

Feel free to give me highfives or criticism. There is always room for improvement

dont get me wrong its a super nice system beleive me i know, im running alot the same stuff, same compressors too only difference is im using all half inch your set up is def. quality and i like it alot. when i was setting mine up i was gonna do something similar but i looked at it as this is just going to be a show car now so i wanted everything to be visible thats why i painted the tank and whatnot. i just get defensive sometimes because i have so much into this car and everything has been done with the most meticulous eye. so when someone says mines better im always up to the challenge because i honestly feel that no one has or will go as far as i have with this platform. ive got this thing pretty tricked out now. and now with the engine build and turbo setup im doing i mean i pretty much have it all covered:cool:

your shiz is sweet though and your work is awsome. def. top notch!!! props
keep me on my toes

Now thats what I'm talking about!!! Its all about being a team for me even though I poke fun.

I hope I get the honor of seeing your car in person someday. I'm sure pictures do it little justice to the level that it is on. Good luck and I hope it comes together smoothly for you!!
*highfive* bagged

I'd have to say that Trapps had one of the nicest I've seen alone with... I can't remember the member that had the black SVT that rear endned a truck in the last couple of years. I heard he has a new one he's working on.
