I just got her back on the road for the first time since December 14th when the stock trans finally bit the dust. Now she's got a 3200 Yank Converter (custom stalled TT3000), a fully built 4L65E from Goodfella's in Florida (good to 700+ HP/TQ, 13 steel friction set, hardened input/output shafts, etc), and some new Centerline Rapid wheels with 295/45/20 General Grabber UHP's. Other supporting mods are OBX LT Headers, ported TB, 1.85 ratio SLP rockers, and HPTuners tune by me (tuned to run E85 all of the time). Coming soon: L92 heads, big cam, and carb style intake setup to run EFI.

Nope, no trips down the quarter yet. Should be mid to high 13's from the way it runs with friend's vehices who have gone down the 1/4. I hope to make it up to Cedar Falls a couple of times this year though.

Wow! Weren't those things kinda slow from the factory? Like mid 14's?

Yes, high 14's though, so even slower than you thought. The thing is, the tune is worth 30+ HP/TQ and eliminating the tq management is worth more than half a second. The high stall converter I have is worth .5-.75 more off in the quarter.

those look hot in black. i smoked one just like that a few weeks ago :D

You won't smoke this one! I'm guessing at mid to high 12's with the other mods I have in store this year.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm also running an E85 tune too. It's just like race gas! :D

Hey Trollman Brad, I bet you are soooooo glad to be back behind the wheel of your truck, especially with better weather than you had in December!

Good thing you had better luck with OBX LT's. Mine had major fitment issues and wasn't able to use them (or their +30RWHP/40RWTQ :() on my Furd F150.

Does the SS have a truck intake, or an LSX type(F-body/Vette/GTO type)?

holy crap you're alive!

The truck looks good - you should black out those fog light panels.

I really like that, howevere over the pond with the cost of our yearly car tax and the price of petrol the trucks have not had a chance to take off.

A real pity
