here is the latest addition to the True Forged wheel line-up.

ive been thinking of a few names for it but havent really settled on any yet. ive also had some friends come up with some names that i kind of like.
During their development i was calling them "Supers" which i kind of like but am not sold on it. Today a friend suggested "Phalanx" which actually seems kind of fitting but im sure most people wont even begin to know how to pronounce it lol. 30% of people who call in about Chicanes mispronounce it lol.
so i figured, lets see what the peanut gallery can come up with :D

I will choose my favorites of the names suggested and post a NEW thread with a poll. the winner of the poll, voted on by YOU, will receive $50 and a TF Tshirtl. even if i do not use the most popular name, the winner will still be paid

all you have to do is post your idea in this thread (only). no PMs or calls or emails. :nono:
$50 for a few seconds of "work"?? not bad huh?!

i typically try to use a motorsports oriented name like "chicane" and "sebring" but not much left that hasnt been used by somebody. or ill try to use a word that somewhat describes the design like "helix" and "ravel".

I will leave this open from now until Christmas day when i will choose the name.

i am going to post this on a few forums. i may end up coming up with my own name for it, or it may be chosen by someone from a different forum, but i will add those as they come up. if you happen to suggest the same name then the person who "owns" the name suggestion will be according to whomever posted it first on whichever forum (according to the time stamp on the post).

ON Christmas day, i will choose my favorites of the suggestions and then create the new thread with a poll. The poll will be located ONLY on svtperformance since i cannot connect polls from various forums lol. im not sure if people will have to be members to vote but they will certainly have to come to this site in order to see the results of who wins.
here is the first set in 20" 3 piece for a VIP customer. brushed aluminum with chrome lips :coolman:

notice the lack of an ugly valve stem protruding through the lip?? in fact, see if you can spot where it is ;)

**also, since this is a NEW design in our line-up, i will give a $200 discount to anyone who orders a set with this design before December 31st, regardless of the vehicle make.

two come to mind

if you want something race themed

Le Mans

because it has a euro racer feel anyways and looks like it is built to endure anything

or you could just go simple

Decem (10 in latin) pronounced deh-sem so it might lead to more mispronunciations

-Decathlon (deka [ten], athlos [contest])
-R10
-V10
-Legend
It also reminds me of a big steam pipe valve hand wheel. But i have no idea how to get a name out of that.

maybe "valve" but that sounds to bland.

very nice looking wheel. i like how the valve stem is on the inside of the rim instead of out on the lip. oh and for a name, i like Bathurst.

random ideas..

i see triangles.. and ten spokes.. and tri + ten sounded like "Triton".. which is a greek god
naughty.gif

Or.. "Monaco" sounds good to me

Just off the top of my head

Foedo-X (ten forged, in Latin)
Tisant (True ten, in Norwegian)
SpitFire
Cynder

CC10

"CC" stands for candy corn because the cutouts are candy corn shaped  and the 10 is for spoke count.

Well, after some loose Google searching, tracks with 10 turn configurations:

Phoenix
Mosport
Monza

I prefer the name Phoenix.

Plus, then you could make 140 spoke rims and call them Nordschleife.

A few names that came to me:

- Chisel or Chiseled
- Flare
- Reign

More car oriented names:

- Traction
- Drift

"True Locker (S)"

"Forged Locker (S)"

"Forged True Locker (S)"

Or maybe just "Locker (S)"

It kind of looks like a pie. So maybe 3.1415926?

Or Einsteins:laugh:
