Ares
Veteran CEG'er
So I'm on Craigslist last week and come across this ad.
http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/1304686275.html.
I'm betting that this one caught several a ceg'rs attention because the pic is of a clean svt and the price looks right. After many back and forth emails and calls I went to see it and was disappointed to find out that the car is in fact an SE, V6 MTX.
I asked the seller beforehand if the pic in the ad was of his car and apparently we had miscommunication and I thought he said that it was his car in the pic. I probably should have known better. It looks like a stock photograph but I had never seen it before.
Anyway, we each went through some inconvenience to set up a meeting. And leading up to it I told him that I'll buy it if its what it looks like, blah blah. But low and behold, it is an SE. A nice SE that just had an alternator installed mind you, but not what I was hoping.
Feeling bad for the seller about this, I thought I would share my recent craigslist adventure while at the same time posting his ad in the event that anyone here might be in the market for a clean SE at a nice price. So here it is, let me know if you have any questions about it. I didn't get to take pics since I forgot my phone but I think it would make a good daily for someone.
