I like how the rubber cup holders and that rubber pad that sits in the tray below the Ebrake are removable, it makes it very easy to wash them off when you spill something on them.

Now what is everybody elses favorite thing about Contiques? Post it no matter how small, big, rediculous, standard, simple, amazing it is. I just want to know what that one thing is that you think is a good addition to an amazing car.

Thanks, Connor

Cool idea for a thread!

My favorite thing is the way that they put a pleasantly surprised smile on everyone's face; no matter who drives/ rides in one.

Sound of the duratec intake... Or the look of WTF was that? When you drive by people... :D

Or the fact that the worse gas mileage i've gotten with the Mystique was 32mpg... :D

the lack of people who actually know what the car is :)

and of course my favorite thing about the contour... CEG!!!!

The Duratec growl definitely tops my list of things I miss when not driving a Contour.

The fact that I never forget to leave the lights on, because I'm always staring at the car as I walk away.

The SE sport suspension is competent yet comfortable.

The door/seatbelt chime. I realized this one after being a troll for nearly 2 years and watching a Youtube video of someone starting their car. That was a weird feeling.

its affordable performance. Paying zero a month on it and fifty on insurance, is a steal when I am having so much fun.

Favorite thing is that you can buy them for about half what the same year Japanese car would cost. And usually in better condition too.

If the cup holders are your favorite thing about the Contour, mine is the dash. ;) I applaud you for seeing the glass half-full -- even after the other half spilled going over a bump. :p

Seriously though, what I like most about the Contour is that it provides great feedback to the driver -- steering, suspension, engine, brakes, etc.. I like that its keeps its composure on all kinds of poor roads. I like the view from the large windows -- I hate the small windows of many contemporary sedans.

Intake and Exhaust notes and the looks people have @ WOT. Not to mention how many people ask what kind of car I have because they don't see Contours with "bodykits" LOL.

My favorite thing about the car is that it is a great all around performing car, you can go fast when you want and the fuzz never give you a second glance.

I was waiting for someone to mention that. Holy crap those rubber cupholders are probably the worst design around. Comparably awful are ones that hang over your stereo. I'd feel really safe leaving that 64oz Big Gulp hanging over my new kenwood :blackeye:

My favorite is the SVT looks. cheap and subtle mods like painted ovals and a grill make the car look mean as F.

Fun to drive, value, performance, gas mileage, many other things already said. and yeh the sound vrrrooommm...

But lets start again with the little and small things that set it apart like the thread started with.

Mine is the rear window switches are illuminated. But when rear window control is disabled at driver's master switch then lights go off. Nice little touch not to advertise a switch to a passenger that is disabled.

~DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH~
They have a timeless design, sporty enough to suffice any weekend autoX warrior(minus the oil starvation and diffs ), not too many know much about them or that they even existed, SVT Contours are the only 4 door SVT ever built.....

Big enough to keep for when you have kids (not chang's) so no reason to trade a 2 door for 4 doors later.

When else can you have a purple car with rims and have people really like it?
