my abs and brake light

my abs light is always on. but my regular break light comes on after ive driven it for a minute or so. the braks seem decent, any ideas? 2000 contour svt

abs light means the system failed the self test and was disabled.

the brake light while driving means you are low on fluid. check for leaks and check the fluid level.

and fyi, very common issues, suggest searching alittle and reading up.

as your brakes wear down, the fluid level will also get lower as the pistons in your caliper are out further

fluids good ill read up on it
maybe even blead the brakes?
