Now i dont know too much about cars but dont motor mounts help a great deal when putting the power to the ground? Are the available motor mounts beneficial for csvts? or are they just a waste of money? isn't it a matter of stock mounts vs after market? rubber vs urethane? It just seems like these are overlooked, Or am i wrong? i'm expecting the answer " they help if you get a 3l", but what about on a 2.5?

Just to clairify... some people use the term "motor mount" as interchangeable with "transaxle mount" and "anti-roll resistor". I'm not sure which ones you're asking about. But yes, generally fresher stock units are better than older/shredding units and urethane does help, but some might be more important than others in helping put power on the ground and reducing wheel hop, with the roll resistors being the big players on that topic.

As you move past urethane front resistor inserts and into solid urethane anti-roll resistors, expect your NVH (noise vibration hum) to greatly increase and your CD player might skip more. Pole120 can set you up if you're looking into solid urethane roll resistors.

Less wheel hop should be less dangerous for a stock differential while doing drag launches, but stock axles are still a concern if you have enough power/traction to threaten them. On a 2.5L without drag radials, the axles are at much lower risk than a stock diff.

I expect others will add a bunch to my general comments here.

The roll resistors will definetely help with wheel hop. You can buy some Energy Suspension eurathane bushings for the front roll resistor to help stiffen things up. Pole120 also sells some polyfilled front and rear roll resistors as well.

does anyone have the part numbers for the SVT front and rear rool-restrictors ... I know they where posted before here on the new boards but I haven't had any luck turning them up ...

your CD player might skip more.

 What?!?!? How is that even possible??? Large bumps on GC's make my CD player skip and i thought that was bad! I'm not even sure how it's possible for my mounts to cause that much NVH...

Anyway, yes, i do sell solid poly Roll Resistors, yes, they do greatly help power transfer and yes, they do increase NVH. For reference, I've sold over 100 mount sets and have had just 2 people return them because they were too harsh.

Of course if you are launching keeping the engine from torquing will get the power to the wheels better.

I have pole's mounts and like em. Yeah it'll be a bit harsher but not that bad compared to other cars with filled mounts. Other than idle and take off, they don't add much nvh.

Here is what I have.......

SVT Roll Restrictor part numbers:
*Front * (744-F8RZ-6038-EA)
*Rear * (744-F8RZ-6068-BA)

motor mount inserts

motor mount inserts

i have a set of motor mount inserts for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.

From what I could tell there was no difference in the rear motor mount between my SVT and the Mystique I had. All part numbers on the parts were the same between them.
